giclee printing art
* Giclee (zhee-clay) is a French word, referring to the high quality artwork reproduction.
* How do our Giclee prints differ from regular Canvas/Art Poster prints? They don't. We use the same high quality printing for all our prints.( See F.A.Q. for more)
* Our prints can be up to 44” wide. (length depends on paper type, but can be over 5 feet long).
* If you do not see the paper type you want in our  Instant Quote page, please Contact us. We generally carry few paper types in stock, but we can accommodate your needs for volume orders.

Print Quality of giclee prints - museum quality art prints
* Despite the superior quality, we don't annoy you by writing lengthy essays about how good our quality is. Just request a proof. A picture speaks thousand words.
* But if you need to ask a specific question, don't hesitate to Contact us.
* Many parties claim to do Giclee prints, yet many of them use 7, or even more inferior color printing process.
* Using revolutionary 8 color printing process, we can achieve an almost 1 to 1 color match to your artwork, with prints over 2800x1400 DPI for incredibly sharp text and line art.
* The latest pigmented archival grade inks by Epson have a better b&w and gray shade advantage to the previous version of UltraChrome inks, allowing us to achieve stunning quality prints with superior color gamut and superb print permanence, and with virtually no metamerism and bronzing.

Giclee print permanence ¹
* Print permanence is the time the prints will last without noticeable color shift or fading. The actual lifetime of the prints is greater. We use pigment based archival grade inks that offer superior print permanence than dye based inks (40 to 70 years on average under bare bulb fluorescent light). With special, in room UV filtering, print permanence can increase over 2x depending on paper or canvas type.
* Don't be deceived by ads that promise you 300 (or more) years print permanence. What they don't mention is that you'd need to keep the prints in dark album to get that print permanence. Duh! Our prints can last longer in dark album too.

Giclee Scanning & Proofing
* Since we concentrate more on printing, we prefer that you already have your artwork in a digital file format.
* If you need scanning from transparencies or directly from your artwork please Contact us or send your artwork along with your order by mail.

* You get your first proof free. For proofing, we crop the images you submit, and print part of it we deem best represents the colors of the artwork. Or, you can suggest which part to crop. If there's a need, we can make the necessary color, brightness, contrast adjustments.
Canvas Prints or fine art paper poster printing (Get started with: Canvas  or  Art Poster)
* We offer variety of artist grade papers for Giclee printing. Some papers are available for online ordering.
* Sheet based, heavyweight (300+ gsm) and other paper types, can be used for prints upon request

* Canvas prints can be sprayed with PremierArt Eco Sheild coating for print permanence over 100 yrs.
* We also offer canvas stretching so you’re ready to sell your artwork (currently no framing).
