What is Giclee Reproduction?
How are your Giclee Prints different from Canvas, Art Poster prints?
Do the files lose quality when I Upload them?
How should I take care of my prints?
Do you offer volume discounts?
Are your prints of high quality? How high?
Do you scan?
Will you send proofs before I order?
How long will the prints last without noticeable color shift or fading?

I can't find an answer to my question here.

What is Giclee Reproduction?
It's a French word that refers to the high quality reproduction of artworks. Artists can get giclee reproduction of their work on canvas or a vide variety of special papers.

How are your Giclee Prints different from Canvas, Art Poster prints?
We can print the reproductions on types of papers not offered through our website's order form.
The printing process or the quality, however, is essentially the same. We use the same high quality archival grade inks and printing process for all our Canvas and Art Poster prints as for Giclee reproductions.

Do the files lose quality when I Upload them?
No. We receive the files exactly as they are. The upload can be compared to burning the image on CD and sending it to us. Except it's faster.
In a very unlikely event, if the uploaded image gets corrupted, it will not be viewable. In which case we'll ask you to upload again.

How should I take care of my prints
  • Don't ever rub the prints with fingers or cloth. Especially with wet hands or cloth.
  • Don't use any fluids to clean the prints (canvas, or art poster), and avoid exposing them to humidity.
  • To clean the prints, use canned dust blowers. Keep the dust blower at least 1" away to avoid scratching the prints.
  • Our inks have scratch resistance, but this doesn't mean they're bulletproof. So avoid contact with the prints.
  • Avoid exposing the prints to sunlight for prolonged periods, since it'll greatly reduce the lifespan of the prints.
  • Do not use sharp objects when opening the package, and do not apply pressure on the package, or the prints.

Are your prints of high quality? How high?
A lot of parties claim they do giclee prints, yet many use a 7 or even more inferior color printing process. Using revolutionary 8 color printing process we can achieve stunning color clarity, that will allow your prints to have an almost 1 to 1 resemblance to your artwork's colors. The quality is so high, it's actually Museum quality.
Besides. Our prints are over 2800x1400 DPI for incredibly sharp text and line art.
Also. We don't use cheap inks, we use pigmented archival grade inks by Epson that are considered top notch.

    Do you scan?
Yes we offer professional scanning services. Please Email us about your specific needs.
However we aim to concentrate more on printing rather than scanning, and we'd much prefer if you already have the file ready in digital format (*.tiff, *.psd, *.pdf, etc).

Will you send proofs before I order?
Of course . If you haven't seen our sample prints, just ask for your proof (first proof free). We wouldn't want to waste neither your or our time and effort.
We can crop the image you submit, and print a part of it we deem best represents the colors of the artwork. Or, you can suggest which part to crop.
If there's a need, we can make the necessary color, brightness, contrast adjustments.

How long will the prints last without noticeable color shift or fading?
    This depends on several factors.
    • The type of media the prints are made on.
    • Light conditions (under glass, UV filtering, bare bulb fluorescent light)
    • Whether or not the prints are color or B. & W., the inks used and protective coating.
Under the right condition (UV filtering), the radiant white paper (not offered through our websites' order form, but available upon request) offers print permanence of up to 236 yrs. Most other papers offer 120 to 200 years of print permanence. Under the same conditions, Canvas prints offer about 130 years.  Under bare bulb fluorescent light, prints usually have 40 to 70yrs of print permanence. Special coatings are available on water resistant canvases that will increase the print permanence to about 100 yrs under bulb light.  B. & W. prints offer considerably higher print permanence.
Note: Exposing prints to direct sunlight for prolonged periods will greatly reduce their lifespan.
